About Kylie:
For Kylie Dubovsky, life with horses is equal parts athletic partnership and true friendship. Her equine partner, Benz (show name: Don’t Count Me Out), is not only her teammate in competition but also her best friend. Together, they’ve been building a bond rooted in trust, patience, and the pursuit of performance excellence.
Kylie has been passionate about horses for as long as she can remember. After losing her last off-the-track Thoroughbred, she knew her next horse had to be another TB. That’s when Benz arrived—a scronny two-year-old from Washington state, stepping off a trailer into the -20°C Saskatchewan winter. Despite the long haul and shock of a new country, Benz handled his very first ride off the track with absolute calm. From that day, Kylie knew she had found not just a talented young sport horse, but one with an exceptional mind.
Her dedication to horses extends beyond the barn. Kylie also works at Canadian Rockies Hemp Corporation, a company pioneering hemp fibre products. With her background in equine massage therapy and her pursuit of a veterinary degree at the University of Saskatchewan, Kylie brings a unique blend of science, care, and hands-on experience to her approach to horsemanship.
Her proudest accomplishments include earning Reserve Champion at PC National Dressage in 2019, tying for 1st place in pre-training dressage with Benz at their first event together, and being accepted into vet school.
