About Jodie:
For Jodie Bater, animals are more than just companions—they’re part of the family and essential to her work. Her beloved dog Millie is the “youngest child” of the household and takes her role as the farm greeter very seriously. On the equine side, Jodie manages a herd of 10 lesson horses and ponies, many of them senior Quarter Horses, alongside her personal horse Emma, a sensitive yet reliable 17-year-old mare who shines both on the trail and in the arena.
Jodie describes her horses as her co-workers—without them, she couldn’t do her job. That’s why their health and happiness are her top priority.
Healthy animals make for happy animals and less vet bills.
Outside of the barn, Jodie is a proud mom, and she considers her children her greatest accomplishment.
