About Cassie:
For Cassie Daniels Jones, her German Shepherd Dogs aren’t just pets—they’re true partners. Growing up inspired by books like Where the Red Fern Grows and The Black Stallion, Cassie dreamed of having an animal companion she could share everything with. She found that in Nemi (Nemesis von Hanrahaus) and more recently in Siggy (Amendment 2 vom Sommerfeld).
Cassie describes training with Nemi as a series of “micro-communications,” a relationship so in-tune that the dog often mirrors her handler’s emotions. Years of dedication have built a bond that shines brightest in competition. At the 2023 GSDCA Nationals, Nemi battled through exhaustion, hormones, and even an upset stomach to deliver a powerful performance that left the judges impressed with her courage and intensity.
Competing with her feels like taking the field with an old friend. She always gives everything she has, and I could not be more thankful for this dog.
Siggy, the younger of the two, is already proving to be just as special. His joyful personality and determination—paired with his stunning good looks—have made him a perfect fit in Cassie’s home. In fact, his “greatest accomplishment” might be winning over Cassie’s husband, who couldn’t imagine life without him now.
